Sobit Gurung, a visionary and passionate individual, was born in the serene village of Thaprek, nestled in the picturesque region of Tanahun, Nepal. In his early school years, Sobit discovered a keen interest in IT education. However, destiny had different plans for him as he eventually found himself drawn towards the tourism industry. Starting as a front desk clerk in a local hotel, Sobit Gurung gained valuable insights into the hospitality sector, honing his interpersonal and organizational skills.
Driven by a desire to explore the great outdoors, Sobit transitioned into the role of a trekking guide, immersing himself in the beauty of Nepal’s diverse landscapes. For seven years, he led travelers through challenging terrains, fostering a deep connection with nature and the adventurous spirit within him. This period of exploration ignited a spark in Sobit to share the wonders of his own village with the world.
Motivated by a vision to promote Thaprek as a tourist destination, Sobit founded the Thaprek Tourism and Community Development Foundation. The foundation’s mission was clear – to elevate Thaprek as a significant tourist hub and contribute to the overall development of the community. Sobit’s commitment and dedication bore fruit as the feedback from the clients who visited Thaprek was overwhelmingly positive.
With a strong foundation in community development and a desire to contribute more to Nepal’s tourism sector, Sobit joined forces with Amazing Nepal Adventure. As the Managing Director, he aspires to position the agency as a leading travel organization in Nepal. Sobit envisions not just providing travel services but ensuring that every journey with Amazing Nepal Adventure is safe, memorable, and reflects the true essence of the Himalayan nation.
