Itinerary

Day 1: Scenic Flight to Bardia National Park

• Morning: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (1-hour scenic flight). Transfer to Bardia National Park lodge (2-hour drive).
• Afternoon: Welcome briefing and orientation. Relax at your eco-lodge, surrounded by nature.
• Evening: Sunset walk near the Karnali River. Spot birds and wildlife.

Day 2: Jungle Safari & Wildlife Exploration

• Early Morning: Jeep safari through Sal forests and grasslands. Look for tigers, rhinos, elephants, and deer.
• Afternoon: Visit the Crocodile Breeding Center. Learn about conservation efforts.
• Evening: Guided nature walks with a local expert. Discover flora, fauna, and animal tracks.

Day 3: Tharu Cultural Experience & Elephant Safari

• Morning: Elephant-back safari for up-close wildlife encounters.
• Afternoon: Visit a Tharu village. Enjoy traditional dance, cuisine, and handicraft demonstrations.
• Evening: Campfire storytelling about Bardia’s legends and conservation.

Day 4: Birdwatching & River Adventure

• Morning: Birdwatching tour (over 400 species recorded). Spot hornbills, kingfishers, and migratory birds.
• Afternoon: Canoe ride on the Karnali River. Look for Gangetic dolphins and crocodiles.
• Evening: Free time to relax or explore the lodge’s surroundings.

Day 5: Departure & Return to Kathmandu

• Morning: Breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Nepalgunj Airport.
• Afternoon: Fly back to Kathmandu. Optional city tour or souvenir shopping.
